You leave Cuenca for a 4 hour drive north on the Pan American Highway to the train station. There you board for the train-top trip towards Alausi through fantastic Andes Mountain scenery. In Alausi you start the spectacular descent through the famous “Devil´s Nose”, a railroad section classified as one of the major engineering achievements of the early 20th century. After finishing this amazing train journey you visit the Ingapirca Inca ruins before returning to Cuenca.
